HOME INSPECTION
The Home Inspection Diploma is designed to introduce students to a vast array of
- Knowledge of roof inspections, system performance, and safe construction practice
- Comprehension of the structural components of a residential dwelling
- The skills to inspect heating and cooling systems and identifying defects
- Knowledge to build an independent home inspection business, as well as the ability to create, write, and deliver reports using Microsoft applications
Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify. Students must achieve a grade point average of 75% to be eligible for the Home Inspection Diploma. Familiarity with construction, engineering, architecture, or property management may be advantageous, but it is not a requirement.
Job opportunities: Home Inspection is a growing profession. The home inspector takes part in multiple tasks, including the examination and the preparation of a technical report regarding the physical condition of a home. Graduates of this program will be prepared to work in either the private or public sector, as well as having an opportunity to become self-employed.

CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
The civil engineering design and technology diploma program trains
- AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D and InRoads. Students will use Civil 3D extensively in grading and piping design.
- Students will acquire working experience through a hands-on design project, or choose to take co-op in a civil consulting institution or a civil construction company
- Upon completion of this program, a student will be able to perform civil design and related functions in a working environment.

Students will acquire working experience through an in-depth structural design project. They can also choose to take a co-op placement in a structural consulting institution or a civil construction company to gain further work experience.
Upon successful completion of this program, a student will be awarded a diploma and be able to perform structural detailing, design and related functions in a working environment.
