A2: You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, enrolled in a full-time course, not a full-time post-secondary student in the past 12 months, and must have lived in Ontario. If you move to Ontario from another province, you must have lived there for a full year.
A3: Application conditions include:
• Enroll in a full-time course and complete the course
• Have a good credit record and have obvious financial needs for funding.
A4: The Ontario government has strict requirements for schools that are eligible to apply for subsidies, and evaluates the school's curriculum, teaching quality and graduate employment rate every year.
A5: Influencing factors include:
• Course selection.
• Changes in the applicant's income or other assets.
• Misreporting or misreporting income information.
• Failure to complete course requirements as planned.
• Family structure.
A6: New immigrants usually have no bad credit history and low income. If they apply for student subsidies, they can often get higher subsidies to help them find stable jobs in North America.
A7: The length of residence will affect the amount of application, but even if the residence time is not long, you can still apply for federal and some provincial subsidies. If you have lived in Ontario for one year or more continuously, you can usually apply for the maximum amount.
A8: Start paying the loan within six months after graduation. If you have low income or have not found a job, you can apply for a modification of the monthly payment or apply for interest reduction under certain conditions.
A9: The preferential policy includes a pardon amount, and the loan amount repaid by eligible applicants will be reduced. The specific amount is automatically assessed based on the tax bureau's tax return information and current income.
